Real estate professionals from top UAE firms have urged new professionals entering the real estate sector to concentrate on systematic project execution, customer-orientated design, and reputation management instead of setting sales targets for themselves.
The advice comes at a time when the real estate market in the country is witnessing growth. The booming market is providing plenty of career prospects in various areas such as project development, design, construction, finance, sales, and asset management. Nevertheless, industry leaders in the region caution that the volatile state of the market could lure new players into making quick commercial launches at the expense of structural stability.

Key executives representing four prominent regional firms—HRE Development, AMWAJ Development, Meraki Group, and Tomorrow World Properties—stressed that building an enduring career requires a thorough understanding of the complete development lifecycle. Mohammed Al Sari, Chief The executive officer of HRE Development urged young professionals to cultivate an investor mindset rather than focusing strictly on construction metrics. He emphasised that every stage, from initial feasibility studies and regulatory approvals to final handover, must be rigorously evaluated to protect long-term returns promised to backers.
Addressing architectural execution, Emad Saleh, founder and chairman of AMWAJ Development, cautioned against pursuing scale solely for visual appeal. He advocated for practical, purpose-driven space planning that prioritises layout efficiency, natural light, outdoor access, and resident utility over decorative embellishments. Furthermore, Saleh noted that sustainability features should be integrated into core project blueprints from inception rather than tacked on as superficial marketing additions.
Echoing these operational priorities, industry leaders highlighted that developer credibility hinges on post-handover performance, punctual project completion, and transparent client communication. To manage complex operational challenges effectively, executives recommended that rising leaders form multidisciplinary teams where every department understands how its decisions impact subsequent developmental phases. By avoiding impulsive decisions tied strictly to market cycles, the next generation of property professionals can establish resilient, reputable real estate businesses capable of thriving over decades.
