There are indications that the labour market in the United Arab Emirates is recovering significantly in mid-2026 because of aggressive growth in the real estate industry and the arrival of foreign specialised talents, according to the latest report that has been issued today by LinkedIn and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade.
UAE Economic Graph Report 2026 demonstrates that recruitment activities and inflows of talent have recovered significantly since June. The recovery comes on the back of some period of volatility in the region as far as geopolitics is concerned. This has been possible because the United Arab Emirates continued its strong trend during 2025, when the country had one of the highest post-COVID hiring rates in the world.

Property developments across the country are currently spearheading employment expansion, outstripping pre-pandemic benchmarks. Several auxiliary industries—including education, construction, healthcare, transport and logistics, and administrative services—are likewise maintaining hiring rates above the national average. Meanwhile, professional services remain the largest single employment sector, accounting for 14.5 per cent of LinkedIn members in the UAE, followed by manufacturing at 12 per cent and hospitality at 9.2 per cent.
The findings highlight the UAE’s rising dominance in advanced technology and digital skills. The country currently ranks first globally for FinTech expertise and second worldwide for its capacity to attract artificial intelligence talent relative to population size. Female participation in corporate leadership has also expanded steadily, with women holding 21.9 per cent of leadership roles in 2025, up from 18.8 per cent a decade earlier.
Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade and Minister in charge of Attracting and Retaining Talent, emphasised that the national strategy continues to attract top global competencies. He noted that the data underscores the success of economic policies designed to build a competitive, innovation-driven business environment. Echoing this sentiment, LinkedIn officials confirmed that strong institutional fundamentals and ongoing capital investments keep the UAE firmly positioned as a primary destination for international professionals.
