In terms of investor participation on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), there has been an accelerated rise during the period beginning January and ending September of this year, as brokerages recorded the opening of 64,416 new trading accounts. This demonstrates greater international and local faith in the resilience of the UAE economy, the strength of its corporations’ balance sheet, and the growing variety of securities available on the bourse.

The figures provided below are taken from the records of exchanges indicating the consistency of the rise in account creation month after month, hitting a peak of 12,837 accounts in March and remaining consistent until September, when 5,298 new accounts were created. The reason behind this continued rise is believed to be the profitability of listed firms in several sectors, which enhances liquidity and market depth.
