Investors from both Dubai and the broader UAE will now be able to participate in the second round of Sovereign Treasury Sukuk from the federal government, which carries an interest rate of 5.06 per cent for the duration of five years. The subscriptions will begin from September 23 until September 28 and are expected to have a tranche size of Dh50 million. UAE Sovereign Retail Sukuk

Being Shariah compliant, the issuance is designed specifically for the citizens and residents of Dubai looking for guaranteed capital preservation from the UAE sovereign guarantee. The issuance is managed by the Ministry of Finance and eliminates the usual restrictions of a minimum amount for subscription of Dh1,000.

Profit payouts will occur biannually, providing reliable cash flow to holders. A base investment of Dh10,000 generates Dh506 annually, yielding Dh2,530 in total cumulative profits if held through the full five-year tenor.

This second tranche features a higher yield than the inaugural release, which carried a 4.30 per cent annual rate over two years. According to Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, expanding the retail T-Sukuk framework directly responds to rising investor demand while bolstering domestic currency capital markets and encouraging structured household savings across local financial hubs.

Interested buyers must hold a valid National Investor Number issued via Dubai Financial Market before subscribing. Applications are handled entirely through digital channels, including the DFM eIPO platform, the iVestor mobile app, the DFM app, and authorized online banking portals. Dubai-headquartered Emirates NBD acts as the lead receiving bank, supported by regional institutions including Emirates Islamic, Mashreq, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, and Ajman Bank.

Final allocations will take place on September 29, followed by formal issuance and the refunding of unallocated funds on September 30. Secondary market trading will officially commence on Nasdaq Dubai on October 1, providing investors with secondary market liquidity to buy or sell holdings prior to the instrument’s final maturity date.
