The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has deployed an artificial intelligence-driven platform designed to automate property registration and consolidate project management workflows, reducing average transaction times from 30 minutes to less than five minutes.
Unveiled during an official ceremony at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, the “Initial Registration” platform establishes a unified digital portal for real estate developers operating across the emirate. The initiative merges three previously separate administrative steps into a single workflow: initial project setup, individual property sale registrations, and escrow account management.
The platform utilises specialised optical recognition models to process official identification documents—including Emirates IDs, passports, and sale and purchase contracts—automatically extracting biographical and contractual details to populate system fields.

Applications adhering fully to standard regulatory rules are processed and approved instantly upon submission, cutting manual data entry by up to 80 per cent and significantly lowering rejection rates caused by clerical errors.
Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehi, stated that the infrastructure investment prepares Dubai’s real estate ecosystem for its next phase of expansion. DLD Senior Manager Mustafa Al Rifai confirmed that more than 1,500 real estate developers will transition to the platform, with major firms receiving targeted operational training over the coming weeks.
A key structural component of the system is “Project 360”, a monitoring dashboard that provides developers, regulatory bodies, and escrow banking partners with synchronised data on unit sales status, financial liquidity, and legal records. The interface incorporates early-warning analytics to identify project delays or compliance issues before they escalate, reinforcing institutional transparency across the property market.
The technological deployment aligns directly with directives issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, aimed at transitioning half of all government operational systems to autonomous execution. The digital overhaul supports the broader economic targets framed under the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033 and the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), building scalable digital infrastructure capable of managing record transaction volumes in the UAE’s property market.
