Gold prices in all retail markets in Dubai stabilized after a challenging trading week. The premium 24-carat gold was quoted at Dh522.75 per gram, with a notable decline compared to Dh526.25 observed in Thursday’s trading session. Additionally, the more preferred 22-carat gold for retail consumption reduced its price by Dh3.00 to Dh484.00 as the economy remains sensitive to international factors. Dubai Gold Prices Ease

This price trend shows the influence of international trends, as there were notable developments in terms of policies and commodity pricing. Spot gold in the international market continued to remain above the support levels of $4,365.20 per ounce despite declining sovereign bond yields in various financial centers around the world.

This yield contraction helped counteract the pressure stemming from the US Federal Reserve’s latest quarter-point interest rate increase. Because precious metals deliver no fixed yield, declining treasury returns generally sustain appetite for non-yielding assets among institutional and retail investors alike.

Energy dynamics have concurrently reshaped broader market sentiment. Crude oil experienced a three-session decline due to stabilizing supply channels in the Middle East, easing energy-driven inflationary expectations. Regional pipeline operations have resumed substantial capacity, alongside steady maritime movements through vital shipping routes.

Within Dubai’s historic Gold Souk and modern shopping malls, retailers reported immediate interest from resident buyers and tourists eager to lock in rates following recent volatility. Store managers noted that even slight price dips typically prompt immediate footfall, as shoppers capitalize on lower making charges and seasonal promotions before international spot markets re-open for the next session.

Although bullion reclaimed technical momentum above its 100-day moving average, spot valuations remain almost 20 per cent lower compared to historic peaks registered earlier in the year during geopolitical escalations. Retail outlets across the emirate report that sustained price consolidation is prompting consumers to re-evaluate purchase timing ahead of upcoming festive demand. Financial analysts anticipate near-term domestic rates in Dubai will continue tracking international yield curves and global macroeconomic indicators closely. Dubai Financial Center
